Walking in the
Light
Each day, we
demonstrate through our choices what we believe to be important. As Christians, we are to live lives
that reflect obedient faith and commitment. If we claim that the Gospel of Jesus
has changed us, the results will not be hidden or merely theoretical but
visible for all to see. (Matthew
5:14-16) "You are the light
of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. {15}
"Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand,
and it gives light to all who are in the house. {16} "Let your light
so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your
Father in heaven”. A life
that is focused in the Lord, will be an offering to him and will reflect
well on his blessings. (Romans
12:1-2) “I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies
a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable
service. {2} And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God”.
The choice to walk in the light of
God’s love is a choice away from the darkness of sin. (1 John
1:6-7) “If we say that we
have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not
practice the truth. {7} But if we walk in the light as He is in the
light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ
His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
As Christians, we have a relationship with Jesus as our Savior that
gives us access to his blessings and promise of salvation. (1 John
1:9) If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. (Revelations 21:21) A life of walking in the light will
result one day in an eternity walking on the street of gold in heaven. Watch your step please…
