Christian Study - Denominationalism
|
Denominationalism
Denominationalism
is something Jesus prayed would not happen. The Bible predicted that it
would happen and warned against it. In the first century, there was only
one church. Over the years, Satan has divided religions into the numerous
sects we have today.
1 Cor 1:10
10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among
you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the
same judgment. (NKJ)
John 17:20-21
20 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will
believe in Me through their word;
21 "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in
You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You
sent Me. (NKJ)
Rom 16:17
17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses,
contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. (NKJ)

Acts
20:29-31
|
For
I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in
among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men
will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples
after themselves. Therefore watch , and remember, that for three
years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

Timothy 4:3,4
|
For
the
time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but
according to their own desires, because they have itching ears,
they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn
their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Timothy 4:1,2
|
Now
the Spirit expressly says that in
latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to
deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in
hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,

Matthew
15:9
|
And
in
vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of
men.
|
Ephesians
4:4-6
|
There
is one
body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your
calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of
all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
